Re: Anything Homemade Swap
Oops didn’t think about that… guess I better get working, I hear it takes a long time to make coal. Katrina……I may need an extension. LOL just kidding!

Diamonds?? No wonder the men didn't want us women to exchange names with them for the swap! LOL!

Re: Anything Homemade Swap
Hey, if you can make diamonds I expect a wonderful diamond necklace and earrings for my birthday this year.
I've been working on one of the gifts for Dizzy and have some ideas for Kerrig. When I do these swaps I like to add a few little things along with the main gift. I love crafting and since this year has been so rainy, I've been down with my back a lot, so that gives me time to do some of my crafts. I like staying busy.

Re: Anything Homemade Swap
well I had a set back on Joe's gift...step 5 revealed an issue with one of the materials so I am having to figure out a fix...this and other similar issues are why I needed so much time for a home made craft swap
Re: Anything Homemade Swap
I've got one of Dizzy's gifts done and am working on Kerrig's. Got of couple of things going right now for both of them. Ty saw me working on one of them and asked if it was for him, so looks like I'll be making him one for Christmas this year.
Re: Anything Homemade Swap
I showed my girls what I'm making Patrice and they both agreed it is probably perfect for her.

Re: Anything Homemade Swap
I can hardly wait to see what everyone has made. Remember, when we actually get our swap gifts we need to post pictures. That's part of the fun, getting to see what others made and recieved.
Re: Anything Homemade Swap
I've got an idea for next year....Maybe we can do a anything re-gifted Christmas...
I'm sure we all have things lying around we don't use and maybe we could bless someone else with the thing we pushed aside and forgot about. Just a thought..... I would still like to do the homemade swap to I think it's kind of cool.

Re: Anything Homemade Swap
I hope you do decide to join us next year. I love doing these swaps. We had one once before in here a couple of years ago, but had less people, so not too many participants. I think the more the merrier.
Now as to my progress, I'm at a standstill right now until I can pick up some more materials, but I have also found something else I want to try to make, so have to get the supplies for it too.

I think I would prefer to stick to the homemade format, the few gifts I receive are actually wantedjwscal1996 wrote:I've got an idea for next year....Maybe we can do a anything re-gifted Christmas...

Re: Anything Homemade Swap
I guess I didn't articulate it correct. I don't want to stop the homemade swap, I think it's neat. I was thinking in addition to and not necessarily gifts you got but anything you just don't use. So maybe this needs to be a all year swap that we can host in the barter section. Find something that you don't need and post it out. Who knows, someone may be looking for that exact thing.

Re: Anything Homemade Swap
So, how's everyone doing on their swap gifts? The things I'm working on are coming along. I'm enjoying making them and hope the recipients enjoy them.
Re: Anything Homemade Swap
work is interfering with progress at this point, and it looks like that will continue to for a couple weeks
Re: Anything Homemade Swap
I had a chance to get some of one of the items I'm making done today. I'm hoping to have time to work on this item later in the week and possibly complete it. Then I'll start on the second item that I want to make. This is so much fun, I can't wait for Christmas!

Re: Anything Homemade Swap
Thanks Patrice, it just gets old not having enough employees to cover for vacations and training events
Re: Anything Homemade Swap
I know how that goes, been there did that many years ago. Either do what you can now or do double later to catch up, it sucked big time, I feel for you.
