Re: Anything Homemade Swap
I can't wait till everyone starts opening their packages. Remember, we want pictures. I'm wondering if dizzy and kerrig got the ones we sent yet.
Re: Anything Homemade Swap
OK, I'll be the first to start just because Rebekah said it was alright to.
She made me a pretty lace angel ornament and a lovely lace bookmark. We had talked about me getting a tabletop tree this year so she made me an ADORABLE snowman tree skirt for it. I didn't get the tree but it fits very nicely around my trifle dish that is holding my greenery and ornaments. She also made me a pair of very beautiful pillowcases for my bed. She is a very talented seamstress!
I'll have to see if I can figure out how to post the pictures from my tablet otherwise DS will have to do it from his computer.
Thank you Rebekah for my gifts, out nailed it!!!
I hope everyone has a very Merry Christmas!!!

You're so welcome. It was wonderful getting to know you this year and making gifts to suit your personality. We have so much in common.
I'm like a kid at Christmas--can't wait for people to open their gifts.

I enjoyed getting to know you better too!
It's crazy how very much alike were are.
Thank you Sonshine for setting this up, it was very enjoyable. I'd definitely like to do it again next year.

I created a group room at snap fish since I can't upload to our host site.
Update:
I deleted the page since I can't get it to work properly.

Re: Anything Homemade Swap
I got mine yesterday, but haven't opened it. I'm going to wait until Christmas.
I still didn't get mine sent out yet. I was dealing w/a drunk hubby last night, so wasn't able to work on it then. I got it done today, but not in time for the mail.
I've really enjoyed getting back into some crafting. It's been too long since I've done any. By next year, I'll have an area all set up for crafting so I'm not having to search for supplies like I did this year.

I'm glad you got it, but I wish you would go ahead and open it so we're all sharing pictures of what we got.
Re: Anything Homemade Swap
I was thinking that all the men have their's now, you guys might as well open them. AndI know Patrice has gotten hers and already opened it, so I figure everyone can go ahead and open them now and post pics.
BTW, Patrice, that angel is beautiful!!

Re: Anything Homemade Swap
Since Rohn won't be on before Monday, I'll wait another day. Do tell Joe to open his though, I'm anxious to hear his reaction.
Re: Anything Homemade Swap
Sonshine it is beautiful as is the bookmark, sorry that picture is a bit fuzzy that you really can't see the detail in it.

Wow, I must have been a very good boy this year!

Keith spent a lot of time on my gift; it takes some special talent to make a knife.
Thank you so much Keith…. Merry Christmas!

And I just wanted to share that Joe has been showing his new knife to everyone. What an awesome gift.

I'm glad you like it, there are flaws, but it is a quality blade. That is to be used, but I doubt it is dishwasher safe.
Merry Christmas Joe.
Merry Christmas Joe.

Re: Anything Homemade Swap
Sonshine-We had a friend staying with us and he accessed porn on our computer. So I haven't been able to do anything on here until today. I will do my best to get pictures of what you made me and post them. I can't thank you enough! They are all so beautiful. I have wanted a Tam for so long and it's my favorite color too. You do such good work!

Re: Anything Homemade Swap
Kerrig, glad you got it ok and like it. Sorry you had the situation with the computer though. Joe has had to clean up other people's computers because of situations like that.
Re: Anything Homemade Swap
THANK YOU VERY MUCH ROHN!!!
Rohn gave me a Pen which is shaped like a couple bullet cartridges back to back (rim to rim), and a stropping board!! I've seen the loose strops, but this was the first I'd seen attached to a board. Very nice!! They both will see lots of use!
The pen even has a small rifle shape for the pocket clip

Wow, nice work Rohn. Of course, you always do good work. This group sure has a lot of talented folks.
Re: Anything Homemade Swap
Nice work, guys!
Patrice made me two beautiful valences for my kitchen, a canister of homemade granola, delicious chocolate fudge, some pinecone decorations, and a hanging pinecone decoration for my front door, along with some pretty recipe cards. She very thoughtfully sent along the extra rooster fabric to match the valences so I can make something to match for my kitchen. She did an amazing job on everything! Here's a pic:

By the way, Cryptidgirl put the pic up for me as I'm electronically challenged and have no idea how to do that! Teenagers are wonderful.

Re: Anything Homemade Swap
I opened my gifts a little bit ago. The box was quite large and I couldn't imagine what was in it.
Here is one of the gifts. Looks like a fishing tackle box but it will never see the stream. It is to fine of a gift to have that kind of rough treatment. Notice the great art work in the wood-burned picture. It is absolutely beautiful. It will find a place in my fishing/hunting/gun room for storing the many different things that I use there.
Here it is partly opened.
Opened all the way.
Then there was another gift (as though the above one was not enough).
Nice, nice. Joe does beautiful work and this piece has already found a home on my shelves that are over my desk.
Thanks Joe. These are both very beautifully done and I will certainly enjoy them.
