First lamb of the new season Empty First lamb of the new season

We lost a ewe during lambing to start off our year in a very depressing fashion. She had trouble last year and we were able to pull the lamb but it was already gone. This year we were with her and pulled another dead lamb and then she died as well. Makes me very sad as she was a nice ewe but obviously had something wrong with her. I sat around a few days all depressed and finally yesterday #2 was born and is healthy and bouncing all over the place. #3 is on its way and will probably make an appearance tonight or in the AM.

That is wonderful to have new baby goats! One of my married daughters and her husband raise goats.
Yes, please post pictures. I'd love to see them.

I have a picture but can't remember how to post it. I wish we could just put a insert photo option here to make it easier.

You need to use an outside source. That's why I don't post pics. I can't get into my photobucket account and even when I could, they had changed things around, and I couldn't figure out how to do it.

Dizzy, I just made it my avatar. It pretty much sums up me right now anyway.

I had to head to where my daughter is for a few days and within 24 hours DH sends me more pics. Another set of twins and a single (all ewe lambs). This has been a blessed season of lambing already.

I am still with my daughter visiting and DH called and said we have two more on the ground. I am so excited and I really want to go home but I promised my daughter I would stay 2 weeks so I am counting the days. I seriously think the kids have a bet on whether mom can make it this length of time or dad will make me come home. We are going to show them. LOL DH is also counting the days. I think he is getting hungry for something besides peanut butter and frozen burritos. Smile
