WARNING....WARNING...READ BEFORE ENTERING!!!!
I did it...Yup....
Okay, here are the rules. Same as in my other forums. No bashing religious preferences or ethnicity. No using vulgar language or I will have to ban you. I created this area because I know that there will be posts that some might want to...ahem...discuss...but it might upset others. If you are one of the others please do not come in here. I did not want these types of topics in the regular debate area or in the Christianity and Politics area.
The main reason that I decided to add this area is because I know eventually something will come up (oh, it will) and I want a safe place for those that want to discuss such topics. No nastiness is allowed in here. I mean towards other people. You may use sarcasm without being nasty. Though, this is an artform and can be difficult to do.
With that said, have fun, laugh a lot and remember to laugh at yourself. You might need to.
A Sense of humor will definitely be needed in order to participate here. One more thing, if anyone has a major problem with this forum, please let me know. I will delete it if I need to, but I would rather not have to.
Thanks!!!!

A Mule Named Hiney

Thanks!!!!
Yes Dawn... We would all do well to not forget the cautionary tale of A Mule Named Hiney
An old farmer owned a mule named Hiney.
Things weren't going very well on the farm and the bills were mounting.
They decided it would be best to take Hiney to the city to be sold.
The old farmer and his grandson started to walk Hiney down the road.
A woman saw them and shouted, "You silly people!
Why are you walking when you have a mule you could ride?"
They decided she had a point and climbed on the mule.
Down the road a ways another woman called to them,
"What brutes you are! With both of you riding that mule,
he will become exhausted and drop dead!" So the old man climbed off.
A little farther down the road a farmer shouted. "you inconsiderate lad,
making your old grandfather walk while you ride! Aren't you ashamed?"
The boy climbed off and urged the grandfather to get back on.
A short time later an old woman called out." You insensitive man!
That poor mule looks as if he is going to drop dead.
Get off and carry him for a while!"
Thinking that she had a point, the grandfather dismounted,
and he and his grandson hoisted the mule up and headed toward the city.
When they came to a log bridge over a rushing river,
they lost their footing and dropped the mule into the river.
Of course the poor animal drowned.
The moral of this story is this:
If you try to please everyone, you will lose your Hiney!!!!!
