How old is the buck? What breed? Ours don't seem to have any problems in that department. In fact we had problems with one of ours escaping from the bacherlor's quarters and sneaking into the girls stalls. That's how we ended up with all 3 of our does pregnant. We wanted to space the breeding out so we always had one in milk, but that didn't work out as planned.

He's 13 months old! He's a French Alpine and still filling out and growing. It's kinda funny... My 13 year old is just rolling in the floor laughing over him. He came back from the barn and he's like"MOM! Do you think I should give him something to stand on??? rotflol.... 13 yr old boys can be soooo graphic Shocked

But seriously, I'm wondering if he managed to breed her already the last time he tried which was about 2 months ago(need to check the calendar) But then, if she was already bred he wouldn't be interested now would he? She is a really tall goat, taller than him. OK, I'm rambling and thinking out loud and don't want you all to think I'm a nut case so better stop right here for now...

So, it sounds like it's not an IQ problem but a logistics problem. LOL Sorry, but I can just picture it. Maybe your 13 yr old has the right idea. Smile
