Polish Sausage Stew

1 can cream of celery soup
1/3 cup packed brown sugar
1 - 27 ounce can sauerkraut, drained
1 1/2 pound Polish sausage, cut into 2 inch pieces
4 potatoes, pared and cubed
1 cup chopped onion
1 cup ( 4 oz. ) shredded Monterey Jack cheese
Put all ingredients into crockpot and mix well. Cover. Cook on LOW - 8-hours or High - 4 hours. Serve in bowls with extra cheese sprinkled on top.
