Got a goat! yipee........

Hey....we got our goat today. It is a boer goat, she is with kids, due anytime. She is very tame, beautiful and quiet fiesty. Our poor border collie is so confused. We keep bringing new things to the farm and he is loosing his mind! lol

I'm so happy for you. I was surprised at the different personalities that goats have. They are sure sweet animals. Hope you'll post some pictures. Oh, and I understand what you mean about dogs getting confused. We have 3 shelties. Our female sheltie was so funny when we first got chickens. We got day old chicks and I swear that Precious thinks she's their momma. She watched over those babies like they were her puppies. Even to this day, with all the chickens fully grown, she'll lay over by their pen watching over them. Joe says she sits there because the chickens will push some of the scraps we throw to them over to her. LOL

Yeah our border collie does the same thing. She thinks she is the boss over all these animals. Thinks she is their guardian angel. lol I got up out of the bed awhile ago to go check on our goat. That is pitiful, eh? I will try to post pictures of our goat when I take pics. ok?

Isn't it funny how we treat them like our babies? I know that we do the same thing with our goats. Of course, they're very vocal, so whenever I open the back door to let our dogs out, the goats start hollering. Looking forward to seeing the pictures.
