It was feeding time and everyone came in to eat but one….  I could hear him hollering from out in his yard.  I went around back to see what the fuss was and look what I found…..

My dad had a cow once that got out and got her head stuck in a tire that was a tire swing. They had to cut the tire to get her head out. How she got her head through a tire hanging by a rope no one knows.

I'm glad your goat got loose. I'll bet whatever he did he learned his lesson. LOL.

I wouldn't be too sure he won't do it again. Some days it seems like they try to do it again to figure out what went wrong. Smile

but from idle pursuits a man has his fill of poverty

I used to work at a training barn that was full of young racehorses. I gave riding lessons there. I was out giving a lesson and the parent of my student came running out of the barn white faced. She said one of the Thoroughbreds was hung up in the bars of the stall!

I went on the run. If one of those race horses was caught it was not going to end well.

When I got there I saw a big black horse with his leg hung up just about like that goat was in the stall bars. Thankfully it was a 25 year old Quarter gelding that we used for lessons. He had a sour look on his face, but was calmly quietly waiting for someone to show up and get him loose. I got the foot out and he was more aggravated than embarrassed. Not hurt much, just a little stiff. Even experienced guys get into trouble every now and then.

I let my horses into the grass parking area while I'm there for some extra grazing, and put up some electric rope to keep them in. On the back side is the "riding" arena, also grass. Right now, there's some horses in there. Because of smaller animals (goats, sheep, chickens, etc), that were going under the boards, we put some old garden fence up along it. Didn't think it would be a problem. Yesterday when I went to put my horses away so I could leave, Licorice didn't move from where she was next to this fence. I went to check on her and found that she had gotten 1 front hoof thru the fence! But, she knows if she gets into trouble, I'm going to get her out. Bad thing is, I can't say for sure she won't do it again.
