Butternut Balls
Butternut Balls
Makes 16 dozen
2 lbs butter or margarine
2 cups confectioner' s sugar
2 tsp vanilla
7 cups flour
2 cups ground up walnuts
Soften but do not melt butter. Mix butter, confectioner' s sugar and
vanilla. Beat till fluffy and light. Add flour and nuts all at one
time.(NEVER USE A MIXER ON THIS PART) Chill the dough. Heat oven to
350. Roll into walnut size balls and bake for 20 minutes,
do not brown. Roll into powder sugar as soon as you take out of oven.
When they are completely cold roll them in confectioner' s sugar again.
