Memo Book/Business Card Carrier
I have carried a memo book and business cards with me for years and decided to finally make myself a leather folder to carry them in. It easily fits in my shirt pocket. Here are some pictures.

How about more little card pockets and a pen holder loop?
I am a girl. The more pockets the better.
The tooling and lacing, however are lovely just as they are.

I actually considered a pen holder but I use my pens many other times than just writing in my memo book that I think it will be simpler to just carry it in my pocket beside this folder. That way I don't have to take my folder out of my pocket every time I want to sign my name. More pockets would have been a good idea and I also considered it but I don't carry that many cards (I'm a boy). This doesn't replace my wallet.
I will be starting a wallet in the near future. I plan to carve a picture of a horse on it. I'll be posting it when I get it done, but it may take a while.

Re: Memo Book/Business Card Carrier
the only critique I could possibly offer is that it looks a tad heavy and thick for a shirt pocket, but that's just me. I have never liked my shirt pocket so loaded up that it pulled the collar on a tee shirt, or bulged an oxford type shirt.
Great tool work and the lacing looks great too. Gonna have to learn leather work for some of my knives

Thanks Keith for the kind words. It is a bit bulky, more so than just the note pad but I think I'm going to like it anyway. It does hold my things nicely.

Excellent work. On the inside, did you hand stitch those pockets, or do you have a machine that does that? It looks like stitches from the pics.

Thanks for the nice comment. Yes, it is all hand stitched. I do not have a machine to do the stitching yet.

Wow! Your hand stitching is better than mine, and I'm an experienced seamstress, well, machine, that is.
It's hard to hand stitch through heavy materials such as leather, and it takes patience and attention to detail. You must have much of both to go along with your skill!

Re: Memo Book/Business Card Carrier
Do you also glue the loose edges or just rely on the lacing / stitching to secure pieces together?
Re: Memo Book/Business Card Carrier
The inside lining leather is glued but the pockets are just stitched. There is really no need for glue as the lacing and stitching holds the leather edges together very well.
