Easy Swiss Deer Steak
I decided to try this with some butterfly deer chops.
Wow! it was great and very simple.
I am not a measurer. I just add and sample till it's right
1 package of deer butterfly chop steaks
1 jar of $1.00 spaghetti sauce
1 can stewed tomatoes
onion
garlic clove
flour
lemon pepper salt
3 eggs/milk
I mix my flour mixture (flour and lemon pepper salt) together as well as the egg/milk mixture. Heat a castiron skillet with a small amount of olive oil, onion, and a clove of garlic chopped up. I coat the steaks with egg mixture and then flour mixture and place in skillet to brown. When they are fully cooked I add my spaghetti sauce and a can of stewed tomatoes. I let simmer for a good 20 minutes while I prepare mashed potatoes. Serve with plenty of the gravy from the spaghetti sauce and tomatoes over the top and as the gravy with the potatoes. Add salt and pepper If needed.
