A Bunch of Bowls from the Bowl Lathe
Here are a few bowls that I just finished up. Thought you might enjoy looking at the pictures.
All these bowls were made from flat stock that I glued up and cut them on my Ring Master bowl lathe.
Here is one before It became a bowl. I glued up four different woods - walnut, poplar, cherry, and maple.
Here is the bowl. It is 9" across and 4" tall.
The next one is maple, cherry, and walnut. 9" x 4 1/4"
This next one is a larger on and it is almost 10 1/2" across and 4 1/2 tall. It is made all from poplar. I had a piece of dark green poplar and some light poplar and combined the two. Looks like different species but it isn't. What looks brown in the picture is actually dark green.
This one is poplar and walnut. 9" x 3 3/4"
The next two pictures are twins - four bowls that are oak and walnut. I like the set with darker walnut better than the lighter ones.
Then last of all this one is made from walnut and cherry and is 9 1/2" x 4 3/4". I really like the grain in both figure in both woods on this one.
Thanks for looking. Critiques, comments or questions are always welcome.
