Finishing up an Order

Just finishing stamping on a 4 belt order. These were 1 3/4". I call them "Jeans belts."
Soon to be in the wood shop filling orders and making Christmas gifts.

Its just a basket weave. I have a number of different BW stamps that I use. It depends on how wide the belt is and what fits on evenly as in rows as to which one I use.

I see it now, you have the pattern running the length of the belt...I guess I have seen too many machine tooled leathers

Wow. I never knew that's what "hand tooled" meant! That's a lot of work. You are very talented to have such a steady hand.

Thanks everyone for the nice comments. I put a light coat of saddle oil on four belts and made the keepers for them this morning. Late tonight I'll dye them. Tomorrow I hope to put Gum Tragacanth on the backs and edges and smooth them by rubbing briskly with a piece of plexiglass. Once they are dry from that I'll put the leather finish on. The finish dries pretty quickly so hopefully I'll be able to put the buckles on and ship them tomorrow.
