Choices, we all make them.

Choices, we all make them.
I believe Cotton Picker made a very wise statement when he said "Choosing not to be offended."
That is going to be the key to participating in this forum. I have gone round and round with people online concerning many things. I have also made friends with most of the people that I have gone round and round with. If you are posting in here just to offend then prepare to be offended. If you are posting here for a good debate or just to share stuff then prepare that you might be offended. Most of the time it can be worked out.
Remember, it is not the intent of the owner's of this forum to cause strife but to share information, especially in this day and age with all that is going on in this world. As we approach the Lord's return we are to be as harmless as doves and as wise as serpents. Being informed and being in prayer are the best way to arm yourself no matter what part God has called you to.
As important as it is to know how to survive it is also important to know what is going on around the world. Jesus often fussed at those that could not read the signs of the times. Signs are being posted all over the place and Christians need to take heed.

Re: Choices, we all make them.
Hi Dawn... Or is 7dawn code, for Sunday morning?...
Anyway.. I cannot claim original thought for the line, "Choose not to be offended".. It came from a retired pastor Chuck Higgins, at the place of worship where my Mom attends in Sun City, AZ...
That thought goes quite well with these... "Give up your right to be angry"... Anger does more harm to the vessel in which it is stored, rather than to the person on whom it is poured".... "Forgiveness is when you set the prisioner free.... Only to discover that the prisioner... Was you"
It is also good to remember that
One should also never attempt to teach a pig to sing... It only serves to frustrate you and annoy the pig... Because there is nothing quite as adamant... As willful ignorance....

.. Is not a guarantee that they will reciprocate your kindness and/or generosity.....Luke 6:31 Do for others as you would like them to do for you.

LOL! I love your analogies! They are quite true. We can do unto others but there is never a guarantee that they will do likewise.
But we do make choices. Every action causes a reaction. Every decision is a choice on our part. We have to choose how we react and how we behave. My kids were wonders at blaming eachother for their actions. It took them quite a long time to realize that both of them made a choice. They still have issues with the choice thing, but it is getting better.
