The fun is beginning
William told me that our yellow squash have several little squash on them. I looked the other day but didn't see any blooms. I also looked to see if the zucchini were blooming and didn't see anything on them either. I saw several blooms on the cucumbers. The fun is getting ready to start. The fun of eating the fresh vegetables that is. I look forward to this time every spring/summer.
We have tomatoes but not large enough to fry yet. There's just nothing as good as fried green tomatoes unless it's the sandwiches made from red, ripe, juicy tomatoes. LOL
I found a recipe for zucchini chips.
1 zucchini
Canola Cooking spray
Seasoned salt or seasoning of your choice
Slice the zucchini very thin, Lay them on a parchment paper lined baking sheet. Spray the parchment paper with cooking spray. Spray the zucchini with cooking spray and then sprinkle with a little seasoning salt. Bake in preheated oven at 225 degrees for 45 minutes. Turn the baking sheet and bake for another 30-50 minutes. Best if eaten within two hours after taking out of the oven. (This makes one serving)
I want to try this. William loves potato chips and neither of us need to be eating them so maybe we can substitute zucchini chips instead.

Re: The fun is beginning
Those chips sound good. We have some green tomatoes now and some small crooked necked squash.
