locally produced honey is the absolute best thing you can do for seasonal allergies (at least the summer and fall allergic reactions to pollens) Since locally produced honey has the exact pollens that are triggering the allergic reactions you can de-sensitize yourself by eating the honey year round (yup it really works) but it MUST be local from bees that have a hive within 50 miles of you.

I had heard that about honey, but haven't had much success with it. Also take into account that not everyone has access to local honey.
