Who are the sons of God in Genisis 6

Sawmill Jim, have you ever been to the Creation Museum in KY? It's by Answers in Genesis and they talk about giant footprints that have been found. Judging by the size of some of them, the scientist estimate that the people were 11 to 14 feet tall! There certainly were giants pre- and post-flood. Even King Saul was head and shoulders taller than the average man of his time.

I think the bloodline you're talking about came from Adam to Seth to David to Jesus (with some other folks in between.)

I think the question about the "sons of God" being fallen angels or Sethites is one we won't know for sure about until we get to heaven. Both theories have merit, but I can't get past the part about angels procreating because we don't see that anywhere in scripture.

Sawmill Jim, Just because there were giants in the land doesn't mean that they were demons, although they may have been demon possessed. I also don't believe Satan knows everything and I wonder if he knew that Jesus blood could make a way for our salvation until after Jesus had died and risen again. If he had known perhaps he wouldn't have had evil men put Jesus to death. He thought it was all over until Jesus arose from the dead.

I believe demons were were created by God as heavenly beings and they rose up in rebellion against God Lucifer being the leader and God threw them out of heaven.

Also angels cannot reproduce as is shown us in the scriptures.

I am enjoying seeing everyone's view point. This is the way I see it.

Notice Gen 6:4 There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare [children] to them, the same [became] mighty men which [were] of old, men of renown. Notice the first part look where it says and also after that .

Would think these giants were everywhere Satan sure gets around . Angels that aren' fallen would still be in their first estate .Ever wonder why God many times ordered every living thing killed when his people took a city it was the corrupt seed even the animals children everything was to be killed . Fallen angles can take many forms .

Look at the angles that went to Sodom and Gomorrah they appeared as men also note the people wanted Lot to send them out that they might know them .(Know them ) didn't refer to a nice chat about their day .

So who is the seed of Satan when he fell he took a third of the angles with him also couldn't some more fall .

Much don't pertain to ones salvation but does add enrichment watching Satan trying to get one over on God . Satan understands he has lost but wants to get as many as he can in Hell with him .

Most of us lead a some what sheltered life be it our raising or training or location . Most have never looked at or can grasp the evil in this world .Like 9/11 being an inside job . It is too hard on their prior training .

God is only one who knows everything. Satan does not know everything. God knows the past present and future. Satan is limited in what he can do. Remember he thought he could get Job to curse God but God knew that Job would not do that.

Correct Satan can be only one place at one time lots of folks miss this . But he has many helpers of course our free choice plays a part in good and evil or the choice there of . I haven't studied on Job in a while I understand God knew the out come and Satan knew God had a protective hedge around Job .God told Satan he couldn't take Job's life if i remember right . So i may of over simplified what i meant about what Satan knows and don't as putting thoughts in type with a foggy brain and one finger is tough .
