OK since we don’t have much land to grow wheat and such on does anyone have good resources to buy whole berries?

Thanks
Joe

If you have a Sam's Club or Costco nearby check them out. Supposedly WM also sells wheat berries in some stores, I've never checked mine for them though. I've ordered from www.Honeyville.com a few times, decent prices and pretty good service. If you sign up for the newsletter they'll send you discounts through your e-mail. Watch where you order because if the wheat is cheap the shipping will be sky high or they will require you to buy 200lbs or more to get delivery.

Check out www.Pleasanthillgrain.com for for prices and information on the different types of wheat available and which types are used for what application.

I usually order my grain from a grocery buying club I belong to. I also have a local source for hard red wheat directly from a farmer I know, it takes a bit of work to clean it though.

We order our grains/rice, usually in bulk, through 2 local stores (both approx 50 miles from home). We often, but not always, request Wheat Montana grains. You might check with your local natural foods stores and ask about bulk discounts, we buy it in the same quantity our store owners do, usually 25 or 50 pound bags, and since they don't have to handle it, just pass it though, they can really lower the price.

Thanks for the great advise. I just stumbled upon Honeyville Grain last night. Ordered 50lb of white corn and 50lbs of soft white wheat. You can’t beat the shipping $4.49 for your entire order anywhere in the continental US. Thanks again
