Another day, but no babies yet
Licorice is huge and started having a discharge yesterday. She's been keeping herself seperated from the others. Is this a sign she's ready? When they start doing this, about how long till they give birth? I'm excited and nervous at the same time. Anything I should be watching for that tells me things are going fine or that there may be a problem?
Re: Another day, but no babies yet
When my goats were ready they were the size of barns but they always had twins both of them. They just spit them out with out much problem at all and in under a few hours. They keep them selves away from others and go lay down. One of ours was on a tie out when she had her first ones. They were not due yet and she just laid down and had them. My step daughter drove up and told us she was laying out there in the front yard having them. Hubby always was there for them but never really had to do much of anything but he dried off the babies. I know the wanting them to come thing. I just wanted to squeeze them out so they would be here. lol That is part of the fun waiting for them to get here
Re: Another day, but no babies yet
Well, if I'm not mistaken, all 3 of my girls is pregnant, but Licorice is the only one showing signs of anything happening so far. I figure the others will be ready in about a week, maybe 2.
