Making Lye Soap Over an Open Fire

I thought some here might like to see this. It has a lot of pictures. This is the first site that I have seen that shows making soap over an open fire.... Hope you like it.

What a great site!! I still haven't gotten brave enough to try making my own soap, but I will, so I'm trying to read everything I can get my hands on.

Reading everthing you can is a smart move.... My advise is if you are going to make it, get the best equipment you can. You need a stick blender. One that you use exclusivly for soapmaking. (ask me how I know 
) Get a digital scale. (I also use my for bread making) If you do this you will be so far ahead of the game...... P
