Lung Disorders (COPD)
My husband has COPD which has led me on a quest to maximize his health and lung capacity. In 2007, he was told his lung capacity is at 34%. Every year for the past 30ish years he has had at least one bout of bronchitis which has necessitated antibiotics and resulted in a decrease of lung capacity. Having already been widowed once, I don't want to do it again!
This last year I seriously delved into making my own concoctions rather than buying premade supplements. I found an English Ivy supplement while researching herbs and learned that it has proven effectiveness for COPD and for Cystic Fibrosis. Worth a try! I bought some and Rich has been taking it daily. It seems to have increased his lung capacity.
When he got a cold this year, which has always led to bronchitis in the past, I treated him with a tea made of Mullein (an expectorant), Licorice Root, Thyme (an strong antibiotic), Plantago, Coltsfoot and Cayenne (an immune booster). I sweetened it with honey or Stevia. I also treated his sore throat with honey (1T) mixed with 1t cinnamon and 2 droppers of capsaicin tincture.

Can you share the recipe?
How much of each did you put in the tea? Do you have a web address for where we can get the English Ivy supplement?
Re: Lung Disorders (COPD)
I make a large batch of the tea, then vacuum seal it until needed. All teas should be 1t per 6oz boiling water; steep covered for 10-20 minutes before sipping.
