New Machine for the Leather Shop
I went to a huge leather auction last week. It was a two day auction with 2-3 auctioneers going at the same time from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm. They had leather by the truck loads there and a huge tent full of leather machinery and hand tools. There was three large tents full of stuff. I didn't buy very much at the auction - just 4 boxes of lining leather and a few other hand tools. (I regret that I didn't take any pictures at the auction).
But - I did purchase a new sewing machine at the store where the auction was held. Now I can sew a lot of different styles of holsters and other items much more quickly than hand stitching. This machine will sew up to 3/4 inch leather.

Very nice machine, glad you'll be able to increase your production with it.

Yes I did enjoy the auction although I didn't have much money left to spend after buying the machine. I am looking forward to next year's auction.

lets try this again (it seems my first reply is lost in cyberspace)
Nice looking "walking foot" Rohn, is it industrial or commercial duty?

I can't really tell you Keith. I just know that it sews effortlessly through several very heavy pieces of leather. And it cost almost $3,000.00! I believe it will be a big help in my shop and I am sure I will be able to expand the business quite a bit now.

Re: New Machine for the Leather Shop
good deal!! it looks commercial grade, due to the stylized shape and finish, but I see what could be industrial control switches. Mainly just curious. A great find either way, and either would serve you well.

That's great, Rohn! I need to order another belt from you soon for my dh. He's lost 30 pounds and is complaining his pants are too loose.
