Croco Change Purse
I have carried one of these little change purses with me most of my life. I just like having all my in one easy to get at place. So I decided to make myself a new one to match the billfold I made a few weeks ago. Thought you all might like to see it.
Here it is and since it is new it won't co-operate and stay closed, so I am helping it some. I put snaps on ones that I sell but on my own I never put snaps. After I put it in my back pocket for a couple of hours it will stay closed by itself just fine.
Here is the back of it.
The front with a couple of quarters.
Here it is beside my old one that I have been carrying around. If you will notice the old one is laced with a different lacing pattern, called Triple Loop Stitch. The new one is stitched with the Mexican Round Braid.
Last but not least, here is a picture of my pen I turned, my wallet and my change purse. I'm getting kind of fancy for an old man, don't ya think?

You could probably sell sets like that for quite a bit. They look nice.

I have just received the pen blanks to turn a couple more pens like the one in the picture and am planning on making a set or two to see if I can sell them or not. Since the billfolds are around $80.00, the pens, $35.00 and the change purses $22.00, I am not sure selling them as a set will be practical. I guess time will tell.
Thanks for the nice comments everyone.

With some women wandering around with $500 handbags it is obvious that what is a "practical" amount to spend for some is just normal for others. I think selling as a set would be a great idea.

I'm gonna give it a try.

DW loves "Coach" brand purses. We do not and cannot pay full retail, nor even sale prices. We have found two at thrift stores though, and snapped them up for about what you'd pay for a Wal-mart purse.
As an idea of what some people pay, and about where to try and price your set, check out the cost of a Coach wallet and purse here. You can always have a "clearance sale".

Re: Croco Change Purse
Try this if you want to check out expensive handbags.
Go to ebay and type in handbags and when it comes up sort for the most expensive first. The highest one is $165,000.00. Imagine that. (I think it was made by Rohn Stearns Custom Leather, only joking )

Re: Croco Change Purse
And meanwhile ... some of us have been carrying the same $10 purse for three years and I probably will keep doing so for a while longer. It matches my $5 (on sale) knock off crocs.
Hubby was talking the other day and started teasing me about his "worldly wife who spends his whole paycheck on designer clothes, shoes and jewelry". I told him that he had better introduce me to her and I would give her a piece of my mind.
