Just popping in to say HI
I know I've been away awhile and am not sure how much time I'll have to get online, but I've missed all of you and wanted to see how everyone is doing.

Re: Just popping in to say HI
I'll try to get on more. Things have been a bit crazy around here, so I figured I would try to catch everyone up on what's been going on.
I can't remember when I last posted, so I'll start with the day before Thanksgiving,we lost Joe's Dad. Then in February we took our anual trek to the Smokies. While we were there we got word that Ty's best friend, who was a foster child living with an Aunt, and his sister were being taken away from the Aunt and being separated. We cut our vacation short and hurried home in the attempt to see them before they left. Then we got in touch with department of children's services to see what the chances were of us getting custody of them.
We passed all the inspections and visits and the kids were placed with us in May. We filed for permanent placement a little over a month ago and are just waiting for their case to come up on the dockets to finalize it. The boy is 15 and his sister is 12. We've known these kids for several years and the placement is going well. Ty is thrilled to have siblings, Joe and I love having a larger family and the kids are happy to have a stable home.
Then Joe had to go TDU for a week and I ended up in the ER with a nosebleed I couldn't get stopped. Found out my blood pressure was 216 over 86. I was referred to a cardiologist and this past week I had a stress test and an echocardiogram. I'll get the results of them on Wednesday. Then yesterday I had some lab work done and found out my potassium levels were low. I'm waiting to get clearance from the cardiologist and my PCP so I can get the spinal cord stimulator. I had the trial one and got about 50% relief so they are going to do a permanent one, but the neurosurgeon won't do it until I get released from the cardiologist and my PCP, so we're kind of on hold.
My sister in law (my brother's widow) and her daughter and grandkids are going to be moving down here from Pa, so Joe and I are trying to get the house they're buying ready for them to move in.
So, I think that catches everything up. Never a dull moment in our household, that's for sure.
I hope all of you have been having an easier time at things than we've been having.
In spite of all that's been going on, God's grace has always been and always will be sufficient for me. He gives me the strength when my own strength fails me.

How wonderful that your family has grown! What a blessing for those kids!
Sorry to hear that you are still having physical issues. I will be praying for you.

I don't know how I missed the updates post but I'll add my WOW too. I hope you can get your health issues under control to get that implant done ASAP.
It's great to hear of your family growing in size and that your extended family members are relocating to your area. I hope both situations progress smoothly.
