With allergy season upon us, I started going through my herb books to see what sort of natural remedies I could find. I was surprised to discover parsley inhibits the secretion of histamine. Since parsley has antihistamine properties it should help with all of us allergy sufferers.

To prepare it, take 2 teaspoons of dried leaves or root per cup of boiling water. Steep for 10 minutes. Drink this 3 times a day. If you prefer a tincture, take 1/2 to 1 teaspoon up to 3 times a day. This isn't recommended for children under 2 years old or adults over 65.

As with any herbal remedy, also test a small amount first to make sure you don't have an adverse reaction to it.

Honey is also a good remedy. It MUST be raw local unfiltered unpasturized honey. I have really bad allergies, and honey helps me alot. I will have to try parsley also.

God bless,
Chad

I've tried using local honey, but haven't noticed much difference. I think with the honey it's a more gradual thing.

Yes, it takes a season or so to get the benifits of honey, but in the mean time you get to eat a spoonfull of honey every day. Smile
