30 states petition to secede from the union

Texas has threatened this for a few years now. Their petition has gathered 40,000 signatures as of this posting

I've been wanting to secede from the Union for years. Glad to see I'm not alone.

many citizens have started petitions in the name of their home state, "on behalf of their fellow citizens". Very few have more than 1,000 signatures. Texas is the exception. There has been talk of Texas seceding for a few years now (before Bush took office) so this one seems to carry some weight. Also remember Texas was established as a free country before the USA asked them to join the union. No other state (to my knowledge) has that distinction.

The idea that appeals to me would be to have 30 to 45 states secede from Washington's control, but remain joined to one another and return to constitutional law. (Which if you know your history, was written and based on Biblical principles. )

Yes! That is very interesting. It will be interesting to see how it all comes out. We need to get back to the Bible and back to the Constitution.

I have my doubts about the movement going anywhere, but it really should send a message to the self declared ruling class to return to the philosophy of public service. (if you follow my meaning)
