a "free" dog treat
Yesterday we had pork chops for dinner. My dd made them and had coated them with flour and had some flour left over that would have been thrown away. She mixed it with some water, a small egg (we have chickens) and fried it in the leftover drippings in the pan. So, we used up the last little bit of flour and drippings, plus an egg. I'm not sure how "healthy" the treat was, but doggie was thrilled with it as she usually just gets dogfood. It didn't cost us anything, either.

Re: a "free" dog treat
That's a food idea. I'm going to have to try it for our dogs. Of course, we have 4 dogs, so will have to make sure we make enough.
