'My headache's about to explode': U.S. girls just dropping dead

Gardasil, the controversial drug that took the early Republican presidential debates by storm, is back in the news as newly unearthed documents reveal 26 additional deaths caused by the shot designed to help prevent young women from getting a sexually transmitted disease that can lead to cervical cancer.

Dr's scare me to start with .The one i been seeing lately when my wife drags me has been great if you don't want facts cold hard ones don't ask him . Last time i went to see him i told him i thought my wife was going to kill me if i didn't start taking my pill right he said if she didn't he probably wood anyway. So far i'm alive and no drugs

Doctors have their place, but I'm like you, I don't care much for them. Unfortunately at the present time I'm having some neurological issues that require them. I also don't like taking meds, but since my back surgery that seems like a main stay in my life, at least unless the Lord decides to heal me.

Yes i really understand .The hard part is finding a Dr that cares .I don't know what Paul's thorn was but he had it to live with .

My wife has already had brain surgery she has epilepsy and degenerative disc disease . I think some med the Lord let us have for a better life .Her meds are great for seizure control and her Dr has called her at ten or eleven at night to check on her . He is at Vanderbilt University in Nashville Tn and if we are broke he sees her anyway .

When we met several years back it worried her as to what i and others thought but i got her over that .I wouldn't trade that gal for all the Tea in China And i know the Lord has a special place for her for putting up with me

I like the doctors at Vanderbilt. We took our son there for testing of learning disabilities. Dr Camarata was able to figure out what was going on with him where 7 other doctors couldn't.

Great They got a good number of Dr to draw from .They have kept the wife wired for i think six days once around the clock monitoring .Can't spell her Dr's name he was an intern at Michigan St. when the wife had her operation he calls her his oldest patient We went to one of his seminaries once and he introduced her to the whole crowd

They seem to have some very gifted doctors.

Yes i think so too . Hers is good at coming up with ways for her to get other things not in his field looked after even if we are broke .

We've spent our share of time at Vanderbilt with our daughter. We had good experiences with the doctors there.

As for the Gardasil shot, I opted for my daughter to *not* have it. We were at the doctor's office for some other shots and the doctor was telling me all the reasons why my daughter should have it. I still declined. So my daughter got the others, I got a copy of her shot records before we left and then we went home. When I looked at the record later, it said that my daughter had been given the Gardasil shot! You should have seen the doctor's face at our next visit when I showed her the record and reminded her of our conversation and me saying no. But...I'm pretty much convinced it was a paper work error and not a shot error on my daughter. Because during our conversation about the shot the doctor had said that Gardasil is given in the thigh and I know for a fact my daughter wasn't given any shots in her thigh that day, only arm. So...I'm *almost* certain they didn't give it to her despite my objections. Unless they gave it in the arm which would have been against protocol as well. I hope it was just a paperwork error.

Well I am glad you have had a good experience at Vanderbuilt, we would not take a dog there. Very poor bed side manners, and the place just looked filthy when we went for a consult. My wife had a tumor in her leg (bone cancer) and we were referred there. Now understand my wife has brittle bone disease (osteogenisus imperfecta) and has had a back fusion. They wanted to drill into her back bone (one solid bone, no vertebrae left) to give her an epidural even at her insistence that not be done, and they wanted to use a bone cement that would have masked any re-occurrence of the cancer. To top it off we were put in a room and left there alone for an hour and a half while the staff went to lunch!!

Her surgery was performed locally by the orthopedic surgeon who found the tumor, and she is now 7 years cancer free.

Keith, sorry you had such a bad experience with Vanderbilt. We were only seen as an outpatient, so I can't comment on the cleanliness, but the section we went to and the doctor's we saw were awesome. They were the only doctors we had found to help us help Ty. When we went there Ty was almost 5 yrs old, yet he had very limited to almost no speech. He made animal noises, grunting and growling and also acted a lot like an animal scratching and biting. There were other doctors who wanted me to institutionalize him, which I would have never done. We took him to seven doctors and none of them gave me much hope. The Camaratas are the only ones who gave me a plausible diagnosis and some directions on how to help him.

Praise the Lord that your wife is now cancer free. God is good.
