An asprin placed next to the tooth will help. Anbesol will help too. Rinsing with warm salt water (1tsp. per 8oz water) will help too.

It has finally quit hurting. But I have a problem tasting any thing now. I have gotten a little taste back in my mouth. But I can not taste salt at all. I am hoping that I will get that back soon. I will try the advice in the hext few days.

Another thing I just remembered is one that Joe swears by. Get a tea bag and bite down on it with the sore tooth and hold it there. I've never tried it before, but Joe grew up doing it and said it really helped him.
