Re: Cooking unit
Looks like a great unit. Ty wants to be a chef, so this is perfect for him! Thanks for sharing.
Re: Cooking unit
Rebekka knows a lot of it but not all of it. Wesley likes to cook so I think he will have fun to. They have more units of study on their site too. Some of it has stuff you need and some of it is to go with books you read.
Re: Cooking unit
Thanks for the link Amybyrd, my son has started to learn to cook/bake and this will definitely help that process along.

Re: Cooking unit
Patrice In IL if you need any more help with the cooking lessons. Feel free to ask. that is what I do. I write recipes and help people learn to cook.
Re: Cooking unit
Thanks Amy. I mainly cook/bake from scratch, so teaching him isn't going to be hard. I want him to learn the proper techniques/terminology though. That unit study looks like it covers terminology in good depth, I haven't looked at the whole thing in regards to the techniques yet though.

Re: Cooking unit
amybyrd, I miss you posting recipes. I never posted much on what you posted, but I go to the recipe section quite often.
Patrice, it's a good study. Ty really enjoyed it. Like you, we do most of our cooking from scratch, but since Ty wants to be a chef I figure it wouldn't hurt for him to learn about techniques and terminology.
