Does anyone know if or what Chinese herbs they use in stuff like Tamiflu. I forget the name of the other anti-viral med that is like Tamiflu.

Chinese Star Anise. You must make sure it is Chinese, not Japanese. I get mine from San Fransisco Herb Company

Make tincture with it, then dose at 1drop per 10# body weight.

Follow the same instructions as other tinctures. I lightly crush the pods (which are rock hard) in my blender before using.

No. It only grows in China Sad because these regions are high altitude and have a hot, humid, climate, they produce a higher purity and greater yield of star anise than other regions.


Well, we will see. I just found a place that sells the seeds. Check out the Banana Tree. Very Happy

When the furor over avian flu was at its height, I remember reading that tincture of elderberry (black only) was effective in warding off and treatment. Would it be effective against swine flu as well?
