August 30th Bunker Index - The Drawing In

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Though I'm sure yesterday's report will overshadow today's report (and probably tomorrow's report as well), here we go with another BI. It's at a frighening SEVEN today which definitely is not your lucky number.

We're headed towards a three day weekend. Remember the last three day weekend we had? Blacks in Wisconsin, Chicago, and numerous other major cities went on crime sprees and started assaulting people. Labor Day is a national union holiday and an Americanized version of the socialist "International Worker's Day" holiday. I expect to see some pro-union thuggery out there as well, possibly in Wisconsin where all these rabble rousing socialists seem to be centered.

We're headed towards a collision. America is a failed and stagnant country now. Any belief in "American exceptionalism" is now little more than meaningless rhetoric. Forty cents out of every dollar made in America winds up in the government's pocket yet that government is so bankrupt that it has to borrow more money each year to pay the interest on its credit card debt.

Some analysts have noted that in 2015, the interest we pay China on the portion of debt they hold will completely pay for their entire army. Yes, we are funding the same military China is eventually going to attack us with. Do you still have doubts that they'll find a way to attack us? China's disastrous one-child policy has created a nation that will be composed of mostly males. Unless you think they're all about to become homosexual and earn their trade as the world's interior decorators, then they'll do what civilizations always have done when they find themselves in that situation: wage vast wars of conquest. Fighting men are a national resource and they'll use theirs to acquire new land and territory until that resource has been expended. War is coming. You may not have to fight it, but your children will. Teach them well.

1. In Wausau, Wisconsin, socialist union organizers have banned Republicans from their Labor Day parade. Think we're balkanized now? It's going to get a lot worse.

2. A second hiker has now been killed by a bear in Yellowstone. Yogi gone wild? I'm not sure what is causing this but the bears seem insistent on taking back their park.

3. Tropical Storm Jose appears to be headed down the same path as Irene, and I don't think he's coming just to mow lawns and work in the construction industry. I had initially been reading that Irene was a dud but after hearing about all the flooding and how 12 million people are still without power ... that's no dud. Tropical Storm Jose looks about 2-3 weeks away and still forming. Keep bailing, East Coast!

4. Now a report is due to be released that the rates of mental illness will rise because of the discredited climate change theory. Even though the researchers who backed this theory were proven to be manipulating data, it still has a host of believers. Scientists and governments alike are still trying to use it to control the behavior of entire nations.

5. Right now the internet is in the Wright Brothers stage of invention. Still a lot of freedom out there. But if the Wright Brothers tried to fly today they'd have to file 3 requests with the FAA, have their plane inspected (it wouldn't pass), and then be groped up by an entire federal agency designed to force users of their technology to surrender their rights upon using it. The internet will become that way as well. The controversial "Council of Europe Convention on Cybercrime" is helping to pave the way in that endeavor. It calls for incredibly invasive online surveillance laws and scrutiny of internet activities. The recent bill requiring all ISP's to record all of your site visits and information was part of it but Canada and Australia (two countries which seem on the fast track to socialism) have already used the treaty to bring in many new online surveillance laws, many of which have extended past the COE convention's original level of intrusiveness.

6. A new report indicates DHS has deployed biometric "iris scanners" at the border. I'm sure Napolitano isn't using them on illegal aliens, so who exactly are they scanning? News reports seem sparse on this one.

7. A large number of black-on-white random violence crimes have recently occurred in St Louis. There have been local articles on the topic, but the national media is still employing a news blackout on the matter. Lock your doors if you have to go into St Louis and avoid crowds.
