A Bit Frosty Here Last Night

Fri May 18, 2012 2:24 am by Rohn

Brought all my plants in last night and we got a frost. I was tempted to put in some of my tomatoes and peppers yesterday but when I looked at the forecast I saw that there was a frost advisory and I'm glad I looked. I covered up some of my flowers that were in the garden and covered my broccoli (not sure if frost would hurt it or not). I think it is going to get cold again tonight and maybe …

Think I'm going to stay offline till after Mother's Day

Wed May 09, 2012 2:00 am by Sonshine

For some reason this year is really hitting me hard. I'm really depressed and think the best thing for now is to just ask for prayer and stay off the internet. My friend will be arriving about 8 tonight and I hope I can pull myself together enough to make her visit enjoyable. Thank you all for praying.

Really need prayers as Mother's Day approaches

Mon May 07, 2012 9:26 pm by Sonshine

Those of you who have known me for awhile already know that I have buried 4 children and that Mother's Day is very difficult for me. Mon Apr 30, 2012 12:35 pm by Mississippi Momma

Our youngest daughter and her fiance came to eat with us tonight. They told us that they plan to get married on June 2 in Orange Beach Alabama. They plan to have a simple ceremony on the beach at sunset. They asked us to be there. I'm very excited. We really like the future groom.

He's a good old country boy. That's the best kind. LOL

We had planned a trip to the Smokies in a couple of …

Where do I go from here?

Fri Apr 27, 2012 2:18 am by mom2hancjhe

Hey! I'm new here and trying to figure out how to go a bit further with our homesteading lifestyle and prepping. Thought you lovely people might be able to help.

We just moved to our home about a month ago. We are on 5 acres and will be clearing about 3 more of it for our two horses. We currently have 8 chickens, 3 roosters and 5 hens. We were getting at least 5 eggs a day before we let them sit …
