Copying list of supplies to start new thread
Ok, here is a good list of tools and supplies you will need to start.
Rotary Cutter
Rotary Mat(24"x36") it can be a little smaller, but this is the size I have.
Rotary Rulers(6"x24") I think most of them are see through these day. Clear
w/measurements marked on it.
Square Rulers(61/2" or 12 1/2")They are good to have,but I don't have one.
Many times I wish I did,I would have been
able to do a more acurate job.
Sewing Machine: one that have the simple stitches on it is all you will need.
The majority of the time you will only be using a straight
stitch.
Cotton Fabric: That is the best to start learning on.
Iron and Ironing board
Fabric Scissors
Paper Scissors
Cotton Thread
Seam Ripper
Pins:Long strait pins w/larg heads are easier to work with.
Needles:
Hand sewing Needles:"Betweens" are
what most expeireanced hand quilters
use. I like "Sharps" they are best known
as all purpose hand sewing needles.
They are longer and finer than "Betweens"
I use size 8 or 9
Sewing machine needles: You will need
sharp point for Medium weight Woven
fabric. A size 14 or 90/14
