Introduction Empty Introduction

Post by Chicken Freak Sat Jan 26, 2013 12:20 pm

Hi there. I am technologically challenged...on purpose. Smile Anyway, I hope I am doing this right as far as introductions go. My name is Amanda. I am a chicken freak....hence the name. I love being self sufficient. That really is an oxymoron, as no one can truly be self sufficient. My family and I rely on God. I have seven children. My eldest four are grown men. Two are in the Navy. One graduated from Erskine Seminary. The other is still trying to figure out what direction to go in. My youngest three are girls. I home school them, as I want them to have a Christian education. My husband is a wonderful man who loves the Lord. He is a wood worker. I am a full time student at Liberty University pursuing my Psychology degree. There just aren't enough Christian counselors. We raise rabbits, chickens, and are trying to breed pigs. We have a couple of dogs and cats. I really want a dairy goat or two for cheese and milk. I think my next venture will be with bees. I grow our food and preserve it. My children are learning these lessons, as well. I was excited to stumble across this forum. It's always wonderful to communicate with other people who love the Lord.

Blessings,
Amanda

Welcome Amanda aka Chicken Freak, you will find us to be an eclectic group of Christians striving to be self reliant and as self sufficient as possible (except of course for Gods helping hand here and there) I hope you will enjoy your time with us here.

Hi Amanda and welcome to our corner of the world. I'm glad you stumbled upon us and hope you will let others know we're here. I also homeschool my son. He's 14 and has always been homeschooled. We raise chickens and dairy goats. We also have our gardens. I'm expanding my herb garden this year. Looking forward to learning and sharing how to enjoy the Lord's bounty.

Welcome Amanda, I am new to this also. I have found that everyone here is very friendly and welling to help as much as possible. I still don't know how the forum works so I just put all my updates in my introduction area. Maybe someday I will learn the proper way to do it.
