Flats for starting seeds?

Does anyone have a source for the "flats" for starting seeds. When you go to a garden market or green house and buy plants they come in flats that contain 72 or so plants. Where can you buy these flats? I do have some, but I don't remember where I got them and they have seen better days. They need to be replaced and I'm don't know where to order them from. I know that I can buy starter kits from Wally World but they are a bit pricy and I'm sure that commercial sellers don't pay that much.

I'm not sure but will be interested to find out. Would like to purchase several myself.

I use Growers Supply. They cater to market gardeners, and are the best priced I have found. This time of year their stock dwindles though, since most are ordering "gross quantities"

these flats are free for the taking at our garden center. Personally, I use any flat plastic container I find. It isn't separated into compartments but I use a pencil to make sure my seed holes are even and it works out well.

Something else you could do if you have any type of flat container and want individual starter pots is use paper towel rolls. I cut them about 2 inches long, then snip for areas on the bottom. I fold up the bottom where it's been snipped. Add your starting soil and plant your seed. These little starter pots can be planted in your garden to compost and you won't have to pay extra for the little starter pots.

Yes, or TP rolls. I spend as little money as possible on gardening
