A New York City yuppie moved to the country and bought a piece of land. He went to the local feed and livestock store and talked to the proprietor about how he was going to take up chicken farming. He then asked to buy 100 chicks.

"That's a lot of chicks," commented the proprietor. "I mean business," the city slicker replied.

A week later the yuppie was back again. "I need another 100 chicks," he said. "Boy, you are serious about this chicken farming," the man told him.

"Yeah," the yuppie replied. "If I can iron out a few problems." "Problems?" asked the proprietor. "Yeah," replied the yuppie, "I think I planted that last batch too close together."

This is old, but still funny.

But you only told half of the story Harvey!

While the yuppie went in to buy the chickens he sent his wife in to buy the feed.  She backed up the truck and asked for 1000 pounds of chicken feed.

While the yardman was still loading up the feed the proprietor was ringing up the sale and asked the wife about her purchase.  "That is a lot of feed for only 100 chicks."

The yuppie's wife promptly replied that only part of it was for the chickens.  "The rest is for me.  We have been doing a lot of research about life on a farm and it seems that a lot of stuff is made from scratch out here."

Did you hear about the city slicker that found a whole bunch of empty milk bottles on the farm? He got all excited and thought he had found a cow's nest.

Then there was the guy that bought a mile of property, 1" wide. When asked what he was going to do w/it, he said grow spaghetti.
