LOL! I was blessed with a bushel of peaches and they are just right for preserving today.. It is SOOO hard to 'slip the skins off', even if following the directions for dipping into boiling and then cool water.. so that is taking up my day today.... can't wait to get to the actual PRESERVING and making JAM.. that will be the fun part, but the preparation is the "PITS" (so to speak) LOL

it seems like the peaches that sat in water longer were much easier to skin..

I have some in the dehydrator tonight, also made 11 pints of jam, and some sauce for ice cream. And peach cobbler for my mother in law, she got home from the hospital yesterday..

still a big bowl in the refrigerator which I'll probably can tomorrow.

I do love peaches too.. yummy Smile

Sad Sorry! lol

actually, I did put some in the freezer too.. this has been a very time consuming project.. For this particular type, it seems easier just to peel them without blanching them first. They look much neater too, not all mushy looking lol.. They are almost like nectarines. Anyway, when you come to Michigan I will make you some cobbler.

but wait.. you live in Georgia.. so forgetaboutit.. you can probably have peach cobbler any time you like!

instead, I'll make you a blueberry pie.. wild Michigan blueberries. As equally yummy....

deal????

LOL, you'll have to come to Georgia to get some Georgia peaches. I LOVE blueberries too. Birds got all of mine this year. Sad
