Spent time with Dad today

Fishing was a bust, we caught 2 white Perch (River Perch) that were 8 inches long, 3 Channel Catfish (6 inches long) and one Flathead Catfish (7 inches long) The Perch were released back into the river, the Catfish were relocated to a farm pond that is over stocked with Bluegill. Still it was a great morning. We met at the boat ramp 15 minutes from each of our homes, and took his boat for an early morning run up the river.

Great morning, and a great visit.

Too bad the fishing wasn't better but at least you got to spend some quality time with your dad.

When we had a boat, we used to meet up w/my parents for fishing-but in the Delaware Bay, not a river. We put in the same place they did, and if we saw they were there, or they saw we were there, the one would contact the other via CB radio. Our son was little then, so he had the choice of whichever boat he wanted to be on. We'd just get the boats next to each other, and pass him from boat to boat. I miss those days.

It was. I miss having a boat. I grew up going out in the Bay, fishing.
