What the Resurrection Means

(Luke 24:39) Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself: handle me, and see; for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me have. (KJV)
(1 Corinthians 15:17) And if Christ be not raised, your faith is vain; ye are yet in your sins. (KJV)

1. It Means Salvation.
There is no salvation without the resurrection
(Romans 10:9-10) That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. (KJV)

2. It Means Victory.
(1 Corinthians 15:20) But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept. (KJV)
(1 Corinthians 15:23) But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ's at his coming. (KJV)
(1 Corinthians 15:57) But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. (KJV)
Justification cannot come without the resurrection.
(Romans 4:25) Who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification. (KJV)
The resurrection give spiritual energy.
(Galatians 2:20) I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. (KJV)

3. It Means A Righteous Judgment.
(Acts 17:31) Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead. (KJV)
No Security if He is Not Raised.
(Hebrews 7:25) Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them. (KJV)
(Romans 8:34) Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us. (KJV)

4. It Means Reunion with Loved Ones.
It makes our resurrection sure.
(John 14:19) Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also. (KJV)
(1 Thessalonians 4:16-17) For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. (KJV)

5. It Means Fellowship with Jesus.
(John 14:31) But that the world may know that I love the Father; and as the Father gave me commandment, even so I do. Arise, let us go hence. (KJV)

6. It Means a Rich Inheritance.
(1 Peter 1:3-4) Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you, (KJV)

THANK GOD WE SERVE A RISEN LIVING SAVIOUR!

What the Resurrection Means Empty Re: What the Resurrection Means

Post by Miss Lillia on Sun Apr 08, 2012 4:48 pm

I love God so much.
He first loved me, and He gave His only son, that I may have life.

Jesus was a willing sacrifice, in obedience with His Father.

May my deep love, appreciation and gratitude always be expressed with my faithfulness and servitude, in Jesus.
