Post by amybyrd21 Fri Mar 23, 2012 9:47 am

Chili Powder
3 Tbsp. paprika
1 Tbsp. ground cumin
2 Tbsp. oregano
1 tsp. red or cayenne pepper
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
Mix well. Place in an airtight container. Adjust red pepper to taste for a
hot or mild blend. This makes 2/3 cup.

You can adjust it to your taste. Some people like more heat in thiers than others. My daughter is one of them that would use a whole jar of hot pepper

I know I add extra chili powder when I make chili. We have a tendency to like a little extra heat.

I'm going to grow hot peppers this year to make my own chilli pepper with once they are dried. I like to have a lot of chilli powder on hand for the winter time because it always seems like I keep adding to the chilli pot.
