My name is Debra. I am a stay at home mom of 7 children- 6 I gave birth to and 1 who came to live with us 2 years ago.. We homeschool. We work from home. My husband does internet marketing, I am a product reviewer (books, appliances, supplements etc..) and I weave one of a kind shawls.
Right now we live in Nevada but we are saving to move to Louisville KY area as my lifelong dear friends live there. Many of your mom's know how hard it is to make friends that stay with your for life. Sharon and Tammy are that for me. We have lived apart our whole adult lives and I am tired of being friendless. Sharon lives in Louisville and Tammy lives 6 hours away. We are looking for a farm. We are ready to be more self sufficient.
I have been studying herbalism, healthy eating, gardening and self sufficiency for years. We have lived on a farm in the past and we are ready to have one of our own that we can plant what we want, build what we want etc...
So glad to find this site!
blessings, Debra

So gald you made it. Make your self at home and if you need any thing let us know. We live in Tennesse and are trying to become self sufficent. We are making progress at it slowly exspecially since we do not want to go into debt over it.

slow and steady wins the race. So much that can be done that costs little to no money. Thank you for the welcome!

Hi Joyfulmama,
I'm glad you joined us. I'm also a homeschool mom. We have 1 son who is 13. We live in Georgia on 2 acres. I'd love to have more land, but feel blessed that God made it possible for us to get this place. We raise chickens and goats. We also do veggie gardens and have a small herb garden. I'm trying to learn more about medicinal herbs. Looking forward to getting to know you better.

Thank you for the welcome Ernie- where are you located? It isn't easy in the desert for sure. We didn't even garden this year- we had just moved here in March and still settling in. I did get some herbs in. We are looking at Kentucky to purchase a farm in the next year.
Blessings, debra

I'm currently getting set up out in West Texas. We have a farm in Illinois now but we hope to be moving next month. While setting up a homestead is a hardship, I have to admit I'm excited to be doing it again. Like a fresh start!
