What are some of your favorite herb combinations?
Cooking from scratch as inexpensively as I can, I have come to rely heavily on my herbs and spices to perk up the flavor of my dishes. I have been playing with different combinations of herbs and spices to make my own seasoning blends.
One of our favorites for poultry is~~~rosemary, thyme, sage, parsley, garlic powder, paprika, sea salt and black pepper.
For beef we have been using~~~sea salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, crushed red pepper, oregano, thyme, basil and parsley
On pork we like~~~sea salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and orange zest

Re: What are some of your favorite herb combinations?
I use alot of garlic, onion and salt and pepper in just about everything. For pork I will add sage to that. Sometimes if I want a more asian taste I'll skip the sage and add ginger, lemon zest (or orange zest) powdered mustard seed, brown sugar and soy sauce to marinate it in. You could add pineapple juice to that too. The same marinade works well with chicken.
For poultry seasoning I use garlic, onion, salt, pepper, celery seed, sage, rosemary, paprika.
My italian seasoning is garlic, onion, oregano, basil.
