Almost Hershey's Chocolate Syrup

1/2 cup baking cocoa (cocoa powder)
1 cup sugar
1 cup water
dash of salt
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Combine the first 4 ingredients in a saucepan over medium heat. Boil for 1 minute (NO LONGER). Remove from heat and cool. When completely cool add vanilla extract. Store in tightly capped bottle. This is thinner than the store bought stuff but it mixes easier.
