1 Box light brown sugar
2/3 cup shortening (I use oil)
Mix above well and add the following
3 eggs, well beaten
1 tsp vanilla
1 tsp baking soda dissolved in 1 1/2 T water
1 cup shopped nuts (I use pecans)
1 cup coconut
1 cup raisins
Mix above and add 3 1/2 cups all purpose flour. Spoon onto cookie sheet and bake at 350 degrees until light brown in color. These cookies are best when you take them out of the oven and they have just slightly browned. Do not over bake. Also, you may throw in a handful of BLACK WALNUTS.
