Hash Browns Hot Dogs
Hash Browns Hot Dogs
1 (12 oz.) pkg. frozen shredded hash browns
1 lb. hot dogs
2 slices process American cheese
8 slices bacon (partially cooked) (I don't use)
8 toasted hot dog rolls
Thaw hash browns for 15 minutes. Cut each potato brick into 4 strips, crosswise, with a long knife. Split hot dogs almost in half, lengthwise, with a sharp knife. Cut cheese slice into 4 strips. Tuck a potato strip inside each hot dog, top with a cheese strip, wrap a slice of partially cooked bacon around hot dog and secure with toothpick. Place on cookie sheet. Bake in hot oven (400 degrees) for 10 minutes or until bacon is crisp. Remove toothpicks. Place hot dogs on toasted rolls.
Makes 8 servings.
