You know it feels like home when you find a good group of christian people trying to live as close to the land as possible.....grew up near St. Louis and have spent most of my life getting away from there, on weekends and a week or two here and there...have now been out here two years. I live by myself, ( did'nt start that way, but this life is not for everyone) if you don't count the dogs and cats, since they are my little family though, they are: Abby and Ally, my twin girls....Boogs and Itsy, two cats...Boogs and I are the only males in the family so we tend to stick together. In truth, they are all spoiled rotten and are living the good life....
I am a builder/carpenter, electrician, plumber and about anything else that goes along with the building trades if I have to. Although I am doing a building project now, I am transitioning over to being as self-sufficient as possible, I have waited quite some time to get to this point in my life
I have 21 acres in the ozarks that I know, without doubt, that God put me here for a purpose and I plan on living that out right here.....I have had a garden my entire life, we grew a lot of our fruits and vegetables when I was growing up and had chickens also. At this time, I am working towards what type of livestock I will have, composting, building raised beds, a greenhouse is on the drawing board and all the other things that need to be done....So...I think that is enough for now..........

Welcome to the family elevenpoint. We're all in various stages of our homestead/self-sufficient lifestyles, so we can all learn and grow together. Oh, and I'm in Georgia, but have lived many places due to being married to a military man. Smile
