Hybreed pink? Empty Hybreed pink?

Post by seagullplayer Fri May 08, 2009 2:51 am

Picked up a couple of hybreed pink tomato's today. They say they are less prone to cracking.

Anyone tryied these before?

I think it is the first pink hybreed I have ever seen.

I also got a "lemon boy" I think they are the same only different color....

Hope to get them in the ground tonight after work.

I've never had a pink, but when I was a kid my Dad use to raise some type of orange tomatoes. After I got past the color they were some of the best tasting tomatoes I had ever tried. Let us know how they turn out. I'm sticking with ones I'm familiar with this year, better boy and roma mostly.

We have raised German Pinks. They are really good. This year we are trying homestead tomatoes, bloody butchers, brandywines, betterboys, and some french kind marmalade I think. We are a tomatoe eatng family. Just remember not to waste the green ones before the first frost they make excellent green tomatoe pickles and relish.
