how to keep animlas away from your garden

Post by amybyrd21 on Sun May 17, 2009 8:21 am

Hot Pepper Repellant Recipe
You need:

1. One chopped yellow onion
2. One chopped Jalapeno pepper
3. One tablespoon of Cayenne Pepper
Boil ingredients for 20 minutes in two quarts of water. Then let it cool and strain the mixture through cheesecloth. You can apply this with a pesticide sprayer or a spray bottle. This will deter just about any animal from an area where it is applied. The only draw back is that it only lasts for three to five days.

I use something similar made from garlic and hot peppers. It does work!

Does it change the taste of your veggies? Do you spray it directly on the fruit that is produced or just the leaves? Sounds like it would work but I don't want my watermelons tasting like cayenne pepper... Very Happy

They came from backyard problem solver by jerry baker it is full of organic ways to take care of your garden from growing boosters to bug killers and more Even a weed killer i there I used at one time. But boiling water works wonders on weeds around the edge of the garden.
