True Story

Post by Lanichiii on Wed Sep 04, 2013 9:37 pm

I used to be stationed at Fort Bragg, NC, right outside of Fayetteville. The city of Fayetteville doesn't really believe in things like "zoning laws" so good and rough neighborhoods often run right in to one another. This was something of a problem at our Church, but at the Church of a friend of mine it was even worse. They were having such a problem with people aggressively panhandling and even breaking into cars during services that they called a meeting of Church members to deal with it. They were trying to come up with ideas when someone suggested, "We could baptize all of them."

"How would that help," the pastor asked, confused.

"Then most of them would only come to Church on Easter and Christmas."

Very Happy  LOL
that's good...sadly close to the truth, but still funny

Proverbs 28:19  He who works his land will have abundant food...

Genesis 1:29  Then God said,"I give you every seed bearing plant on the face of the whole earth, and every tree that has fruit with seed in it..."

I agree with Keith, it's funny, but also kind of sad.

He who cultivates his land will have plenty of food,
but from idle pursuits a man has his fill of poverty
Proverbs 28:19[b]
